What's New in MailSite Fusion 9.4

Directory Harvest Atack Prevention (DHAP) for POP and IMAP

MailSite’s SMTP DHAP protection has been extended to defend against attempts to compromise accounts though brute force dictionary based password attacks through POP and IMAP.

Compromised Account Detection

You can now set a limit on the number of RCPT commands a user account can send in a given period. Once this limit is reached SMTP access for this user is revoked preventing excessive spam relay from compromised accounts.

Faster Anti-Virus Definition Compilation

Previously compiled AV definition databases are now cached on the server to enable faster updates to the database while reducing the server load.

AirSync Multiple Device Support

You can now link multiple devices to the same mailbox using AirSync (ActiveSync) to receive push email, calendar and contact updates on all your devices at the same time.

Improved Anti-Spam Reputation Filtering

MailSite 9.4 includes the latest Mailshell anti spam SDK and an improved spam score mapping producing up to 99.9% accuracy through its reputation and heuristics based filering.

ExpressPro Message Header Search/Filtering

ExpressPro now includes a filtering/search box in all email message folders, allowing you to quickly find emails with a specific subject or to/from a specific person.

What's New in MailSite Fusion 9.3

Domain Keys Identified Mail

MailSite Fusion 9.3 now includes support for DomainKeys Identified Mail (DKIM), a method for digitally signing message headers to verify that the sending domain is legitimate.  DKIM signatures are used as a key factor for spam scoring on many major email systems on the internet including Yahoo Mail and Google Gmail.

Set up DKIM by following this Knowledge Base document and improve your reputation with remote domains.

Outbound and Relayed Message Filtering

The powerful MailSite Sieve Filtering engine has been extended to give you even more control over the messages passing through your servers. You can now use the filters to control the messages leaving your system, including preventing emails with high spam scores being relayed reducing your risk of being put on a RBL. You can also use it to reduce BackScatter through NDR filtering and Mail list journal message control.

ExpressPro Filtering and Anti-Spam Settings

ExpressPro has been extended to include a Sieve Filters section, allowing your users to define and modify their mailbox level sieve filters from with in the AJAX Client. In addition a simplified "Anti-Spam" settings page has been added to allow users to control the spam threshold on their mailbox.

You can control whether your users see these and the other existing settings options, by modifying the ExpressPro web.config file.

Other Enhancements

  • ExpressPro Distribution Lists. ExpressPro now includes the ability to define personal distribution lists (formally known as Groups in MailSite Express). Once defined the user can send an email to a group of people by simply entering the name of the distribution list in the email 'To' field.
