MailSite SP version 5.3 Ready for CustomersPerformance improvements made and new features addedCampbell, CA - April 7, 2003- Rockliffe, Inc., a leading developer of email infrastructure software, today announced the immediate availability of MailSite SP version 5.3 for service providers and enterprises. MailSite's improved IMAP performance - up to five times faster than previous versions - means faster message access for the end-user. Fewer MailSite servers are required to handle the same number of users, which translates to easier administration and lower total cost of ownership. MailSite 5.3 also features improved Anti-virus performance that increases speed of processing and message throughput. MailSite 5.3 offers better availability. Now, even if the SQL Server database goes offline for any reason, the MailSite services (POP, IMAP, and SMTP) keep running. This eliminates one more potential point of failure in MailSite SP systems. With greater deployment flexibility, MailSite SP clusters can be configured with individual MailSite servers handling specific roles (for example, inbound SMTP processing vs. outbound SMTP processing), or they can be configured as "clones" of each other, as before. MailSite SP can now use Active Directory for user authentication, as well as SQL Server. "With improved IMAP and Anti-virus performance we are confident that this release creates even more value for our service provider customers," said John Davies, president and CEO. "Active Directory authentication now extends our MailSite SP clustering technology into large enterprises. MailSite is continually being improved to reflect the features our customers want."
